In 1970, flappers like Peggy Lee, Rita Hayworth and Carole Lombard were making waves as the new pop culture icons. However, just as they were becoming super-famous, they decided to quit the road and start looking for a career on the side.

With the rise of the new Hollywood, Flappers and their fans could be seen walking down Sunset Blvd, in big red hair, in the mid 70’s. Although they had all been super beautiful and flapper style, they still felt the need to have some real fame. So, they tried out for the TV show “The Beverly Hillbillies”. However, it didn’t work out, as many of the actors couldn’t handle the new style. It was hard to be a movie star when your look was all made up.

That’s why most of them quit performing. Their looks were very old fashioned at that time. Not only that, but their lifestyle wasn’t much better.

Nowadays, we would not call anyone old fashioned. They would say they are stylish, but that does not mean their lifestyles are bad or that their look is horrible. We do, however, like to think that flappers are old fashioned and it is their style that we associate with those that come from the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s.

Do you ever think about flappers? Have you ever thought about them? If not, what are your thoughts?

I recently got a request from a client who had just started using Google Analytics and wished to analyze the behavior of their site in the context of all the other sites listed in the Google Analytics reports. However, in her case, the clients would not let her do the analysis, as they were either on the same or related web property.

Google Tag Manager seemed to work for the client, but it had a number of problems. The first problem is that the tag manager reports the list of domains to the web client, leaving it unable to provide any information as to which hosts were accessing a particular page. So, while this allows the client to track the activities of a single site, it does not give insight into the overall health of the service as they track every one of the hundreds of URLs a page was accessed on.

An alternative, which worked perfectly for my client, was
