“What is it like having a partner with you?”

It’s awesome. I don’t mind people that have a guitar. I like to be by my own side, playing along with the music. I can’t stand when someone else is on and playing. Having a partner can be nice for this reason, but also I like to learn all my stuff by myself.

“Are you happy with how your music is going?”

Yeah. I’m happy with how music is going. I think I’m growing more and more. The songwriting’s getting better. I don’t want to be in a band with only three other people, but as of right now I’m in a band with four people (laughs). It’s working out as best as it can.

“Are you planning the next record, and if so what is it about?!”

I don’t have any plans, to be honest. I have a lot of things going on and I don’t like keeping things locked up in my head or stuff. I really love the new record. I think it’s really good. I can’t wait to hear it in my head!

You’ve previously released solo albums: “In The Garden” and “The Story”. Did you have any influence from the other artists you’ve worked with in the past?

I got influenced by everything. I was inspired by the Beatles and Bob Dylan when I was young. Everyone had a thing down to do with music and it always stuck with me. I’ve always had a love of music and the songwriting. The only thing that’s been consistent is that I want people to take this songwriting and make it their own. That’s something I’m really happy about.

“Are you more of an introvert or extrovert?”

I have neither. That’s what’s made me different. I feel like I don’t like putting too much pressure on myself. It’s hard sometimes. I never like to sit down and sit down and just listen to music and not doing anything. Sometimes I’ll get bored and you can tell it’s time to move on. But I always have music with me and I want to stay active.
