The simplest thing you can do is pick a clean piece. I’d suggest you pick a good clean piece, a good guitar solo, you have some fun. And then pick a song. A song is kind of the simplest thing to pick at first. It’s like a lot of people, they kind of pick a specific record or they go to a specific show. I like to pick a song. I love to play a song, because that’s the easiest thing to do. I also like to have a solo in on some parts of a song. You don’t need to have a solo if the part hasn’t been played before. But the most popular thing to use is a drum setup – a drum set. I think a live drum setup is just an incredible thing to do. You can do it in a studio, but with a drum set in a studio, people really can’t do it. The drums are on your chest. And I don’t know what you would do if you had a full band of drummers. That being said. You can jam with them. That’s kind of the easiest thing to do.

The most difficult item for me to do is a guitar solo. For the most part, I’ve always thought the hardest guitar solo is the one that you’ve picked up the guitar really quickly on. You have a great melody, and you’re in the rhythm of it. And then you’ve figured out where the part is that is making you go, ‘Oh, it’s a chord.’ In that scenario, you might be playing pretty low, but it’s so easy to get that beat and that chord in just one or two measures. You have that song in your head now. Now you’re not trying to pick a song that is a bit less easy; you’re trying to pick the one that you had on your mind at that certain moment in time.

Your best solo is probably when you’re alone. Now you’re not trying for some sort of instant crowd response, you’re basically just trying to figure out what chord is making the song go. If you can play something on stage that is so simple, where they can’t even figure out it, that’s probably what the best solo is.

The last thing I’d do. For the people who do really well at playing a chord or chord progression, they’ll always play it in a way, you know, like a really fast tempo. So my favorite progression that some people don’t know is a
