Are there any free piano apps? – Best Free Learn Piano Apps

How big is the keyboard on your computer?

It’s not small. I bought at least 7 different models. There’s a piano that weighs over 40 pounds. I was told it’s built like a tank. Mine started with 10 pianos, each weighing around 25 pounds. The biggest is a piano that measures 32.9 x 36.8 x 22.1 inches – a full foot square. It’s about 5 feet wide by 9 feet tall – that’s about three feet of keyboard per side (and maybe more at the upper side).

Where can I find piano sheet music?

When I was in college I bought a full scale copy of Bach’s Symphony No. 10 for $500, the only copy there was from the 1800s, so I got the whole score. In the mid 90s, I bought a complete Bach version for $15,000 on Ebay. You’ll be hard pressed to find that and probably won’t ever find copies anywhere. There are lots of Bach works on piano that are not available anywhere. Music Library offers dozens of other great resources where you can find original music, scores, lesson-files, CD’s and recordings, etc. There are websites where you can download original sheet music and sheet music collection for piano, bass, trumpet and other instruments.

I’m always looking for new ways to improve myself, so I’m always creating new software. There are loads of great free software and music software to use that I find useful for learning.

Do you have software you have downloaded for free to play songs on your computer that has become popular lately?

I’ve developed a program called SongMaker that can play free versions of songs from the Internet (mostly from the Internet Archive) for you. It’s open source and comes with a free sample set. Download it here.

Do you play any instruments or do you play both piano and guitar?

Not really. I’m not quite a virtuoso or anything, but piano is certainly the most common. I don’t play guitar often and play a tonne a year but it’s fun. I play keyboard bass, drums, harpsichord, violin, cello, voice and sometimes piano.
