Q: How did you first hear about Armstrong getting stripped of his Tour wins?

Cookson: We were notified by the UCI [United States Cycling Association] on Jan. 4. On Jan. 8, we found out about it. Then we were notified about the United States Anti-Doping Agency announcing that they didn’t think there was probable cause to support the case against Armstrong, and on Jan. 12,
