Here are the tips that I’ve learned from trying to lose weight while still exercising and staying up till 3AM every day:
1. Work towards your daily goal
I realize that this is not an easy thing to do. I realize that I have many other things to do on a daily basis. However, you might think that your job is so demanding that you can only try to do one thing at a time.
Well, let me be the first one to tell you: no. There is more than one thing you can do on a daily basis. You can make a lot of improvements in your life. I do things in my life that I wouldn’t do if it weren’t for the support of some of my friends, family, or mentors. You just have to know the right thing to do, because the hard part is over.
2. Take some time off
Time off may be short, but the benefits will definitely exceed short-term stress relief.
You may think that you will have the energy on the days when you don’t exercise because you want to go to the gym, but you won’t. If you have a choice, you are going to get up and exercise because you want to lose weight.
3. Do some stretching
You may think that stretching is difficult because we have so much time. However, many times, when our bodies aren’t used to having a stretch out, we tend to over-extend, instead of working at improving our muscle coordination. This is one reason why we need to take care of our bodies.
If you are too tired after a workout or don’t like the exercise, you can give yourself a chance to stretch for a whole day before doing an exercise. It will definitely help.
4. Eat healthy
I never said that exercising is easy. But you can reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes, improve your blood pressure, or reduce your risk of heart disease if you stick to a healthy diet.
The best part about exercising is that you actually work out and you will feel good about yourself. If you are overweight, I encourage you to be a better athlete.
5. Get enough sleep
It’s been proven that people who exercise have better quality sleep.
